Learning is one of the greatest privileges we have as human beings, and so like Michaelangelo, my goal is to continue learning into old age and beyond. How does this play out in my personal and professional life? Well, as you can see from the photo I took in 2018 of Cinque Terre on the Italian Amalfi coast, one of the ways I learn is by traveling. I've been to Russia, to several Caribbean countries, to eight countries in Europe, and have traveled to the nation of Haiti over 15 times. 

Closer to home, I immensely enjoy the whole process of instructional design, from start to finish. There's nothing I love more than leading the learning process, as I analytically work with a team to move from needs ideation, brainstorming, and mind mapping, to the design stage of storyboarding. I love the challenge of finding alignment and clarity before course development begins, and then stepping up to develop individual modules that together form a cohesive eLearning, ILT, or vILT, or blended experience. To bring training courses to life for learners through interactivity and engagement, while hitting the nail on the head with business and organizational goals, brings me enormous satisfaction and purpose. I've had experience as an instructional designer and in learning and development consulting across corporate and nonprofit sectors and across multiple industries: pharmaceutical, financial, medical, marketing, nonprofit, and both domestic and international education.
